Course description

 

Our flagship RSPH / BPCA Level 2 Award in Pest Control qualification is led and tutored by Oliver Madge, a leading independent expert in Pest Control and RSPH Instructor, well known to many within the industry. 

 

The five-day pest control training course is designed to meet the current syllabus of the RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management.  Covering Rodent and Insect Control along with understanding feral birds and wildlife. Health and Safety is an important element in commercial pest services and this is covered in detail as the foundation to the course and service delivery. 

This qualification was produced with the support and endorsement of the National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA) and the Pest Control Forum.

Who is this course for?

 

This course is aimed at those looking to operate on a more professional / full time basis, providing a service to paying customers.

It is aimed at both experienced individuals who require the necessary paperwork and also new to industry individuals – this can be your first day in the industry!

Structure

 

5 consecutive days onsite - a mix of practical and theory

 

Location

 

Courses typically run in Hampshire (SP11 6BE) – however these courses can also be a bespoke event at your venue.

 

Qualifications / Certificates available on successful completion

 

The exam is taken in three units, each requiring a 50% pass mark – successful candidates (who pass all three units) will be awarded with the RSPH Level 2 Award in pest management.

Those who may not be successful in all three units will have the passed units held in credit for 12 months – requiring only the failed units to be resat.  Candidates do not need to resit the whole course for any exam resits.

CPD Activity

 

30 points are awarded for the completion of the course.

All candidates are registered on IPM Central ‘IPM-Pro’ CPD scheme, which also has a 12 month inclusive membership.

 

Pre-course Requirements

 

​None – this can be your first week in the pest management industry. 

Advance learning materials will be made available following booking, which will allow new to industry to become more comfortable with some of the terms and processes used and for those from the industry – an opportunity to make sure that any existing knowledge is in accordance with the syllabus!

Pricing and how to book

£575 – this includes all learning materials and course refreshments.

It does not include local accommodation (if required) or the RSPH exam fee, which is £155.

Exam Only

 

There is no requirement to sit the course in order to take the exam – we can arrange a turn up and complete.

If a resit is required of one or more units this is also possible, without attending the course again. One unit is £75; two units £115 and all three £155
